Strike

A strike is a method of protest exercised by workers when they stop performing their work tasks as a claim. This stoppage of the activity aims to cause harm to those responsible for addressing the complaint and satisfying the demands made, in such a way that they are forced to give a positive response to the demands to recover the normal functioning of the company or office.

 

It is important to emphasize that the strike, in fact, is a right. It is a legitimate means to fight for the social and economic interests of people in the context of an employment relationship.

 

Normally the strike is not an individual decision, but rather a collective measure that is taken based on a union decision. The instance of the strike is reached when negotiations have already been carried out without the workers and employers or employers reaching an agreement.
